Mon is one of our senior artists at From The Ashes and the boss behind the scenes. She’s friendly, quick with the banter, brutally honest (in the best way), and… she unapologetically swears like a sailor. 

She’s known for her bold colour work but also has a soft spot for fine line and florals. 

Mon started her journey at Sacred Tattoos in Fremantle and has been levelling up her craft ever since. She loves a challenge, thrives on new ideas, and has that rare talent of actually getting what you want… sometimes even before you do.

She’s also our senior body piercer, with over 9 years’ experience after training in Melbourne. Safe to say, she knows her stuff. Want a curated ear or something a bit different? She’s your girl.

Born and raised in Hedland, Mon gets the FIFO life, the chaos of swing rosters, and everything in between. She’ll always do her best to work around your schedule.

Hex has been with From The Ashes since the beginning, completing her apprenticeship with us and loving the Pilbara ever since. She’s a chronic people pleaser in the best way, if you’ve got an idea that you need help bringing to life she’ll work towards perfection and love doing it. 

Hex has a passion for American Traditional style tattoos, she loves history and acknowledging where the art of modern day tattoo design originated from. If she could only do one style forever it’d be a toss up between American Trad and heavy blackwork, so if you’re after a gothic pinup obviously she’s interested. 

Just because Hex has a preference for certain styles doesn’t mean she’s restricted to those, she can tackle any style and enjoys doing it… well any style except realism, that’s hard, have you seen the stencils people use? What even is that?! 

Anyway, if you think Hex is your girl but you know you want a dainty little fineline flower that’s no problem at all, don’t hesitate to reach out. If you’re happy then she’s happy. 

Hex loves a challenge, loves a chat, and loves tattooing! Whether you want to zone out during your appointment with some headphones and a blanket or get into a deep, existential crisis inducing gossip session she’s all for it. She thrives to make her private tattoo room as comfortable and welcoming as possible, and she’s a bit odd too so there’s never any judgement.
